Megan, Style Coach and Fashion Guru!
Name: Megan LaRussa Chenoweth
City: Birmingham, AL
Occupation: Style Coach
Favorite yoga pose: a tie between downward dog and mountain pose
Favorite place to grocery shop: Organic Harvest and Whole Foods
Name one snack you always have on hand? organic cashews as I'm often in the car & on the go, and for an evening treat organic dark chocolate (preferably with ginger in it!)
At what point did you make your health a priority? What was the impact? Healthy living was always a priority in our house growing up, but it wasn't until I was working in NYC that I learned that just because it was low-fat or sold at Whole Foods, doesn't mean it's healthy! I soon discovered with the help of a Wellness Coach what REAL healthy living was...and the weight loss, confidence and energy soon followed. I've come to realize that taking care of myself means listening to my body and putting the right food into it. It also means moving my body weekly, whether it be walks, yoga or weights.
How do you Nourish your life? I nourish my life through daily pleasures, such as walks with my 2 precious bichons, enjoying a movie and homemade dinner with my husband, empowering my style coaching clients through our work together, and as simple as taking time to breath and relax throughout the day. I have come to learn, and love teaching my clients, that taking care of YOU should be your number one priority. When you take care of you, you can then be a better wife, friend, sister, mother, etc., not to mention you can live your life to the fullest!
If you were a food, what would you be? and why? I would be a cherry, because I love the color (it's the color of empowerment and confidence in my eyes), and they are sweet and strong at the same time.
