You may have seen me post recently about a collaboration called The Fearless Om. If you've been curious to know just exactly who we are and what that means, this post is for you!
The Fearless Om is one part Emilie Maynor (me!) and one part Annie Damsky (owner of Villager Yoga). A collaboration rooted in mutual compassion and respect for one another and shared values of how we live this practice called yoga. Our desire is to offer authentic and approachable teachings that inspire self-study, acceptance and community. We strive to provide ongoing experiences that will enable others to be centered and live fearlessly.
Believe it or not, we actually started this concept about four years ago. Together, Annie and I created a course called 40 Days to Free; a 6 week workshop that allows people to enrich their understanding of yoga philosophy and how it relates to our practice on and off the mat. We've been working, hm, fearlessly to bring our mission and additional programs to you. :)
We're thrilled to share with you collaborative classes, self-study and development programs and FEARLESS FEST - a brand *NEW* yoga festival in BHM! Check out the details below and be sure to comment and let us know what you'd like to see!
Fearless Om Special Class
In this class you will be present with your breath and body as we use Elemental Yoga Therapy in a Vinyasa Krama style sequence.
40 Days to Free
Free yourself from past conditioning and step onto the path of the true you. This 40-day commitment to mindfulness will guide you towards freeing yourself from attachments that create static in our everyday lives.
Finding Home: A Course in Yogic Perspective for Inspiring Positive Change - July - October
The essence of yoga lies in the practice of self-study, however, getting started can be a challenge. This interactive course is designed to guide you into self-study that is accessible and practical.
*** FEARLESS FEST ***
It's a student-centered celebration of the spirit of yoga. We offer authentic and approachable teachings that inspire all students to embody their brightness. We encourage students to find their own yogic path and take their practice off the mat to live fearlessly. Tickets, teacher bios + class descriptions can be found here.
