Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in and share a recap from my awesome morning sharing details of the 2015 Global Mala Project on Fox 6. As the Global Mala Committee Chair(wo)man, I've had an amazing opportunity to be really hands on planning this event. When the Sweet Om Alabama Board tapped me with this responsibly, I was honored but overwhelmed. I recruited some inspiring women to be part of the planning committee: Mindy Santo, Jenny Bunch, Mary Ann Somers and Catherine Meehan. Together, alongside the SOA Board, we have worked for months to make the 2015 Global Mala Project our biggest and best year ever. We've hosted yoga and fundraising events throughout the summer, including launching the first ever Sweet Om Alabama Friendraiser Campaign. It's been an exciting process to see the growth of support and awareness throughout our community.
This morning I got to enjoy the fruits of our labor by sharing all the event details on Fox 6 with Jeh Jeh Pruitt. The interview took place at Vulcan Park and Museum, where the actual event will happen this weekend. As the sun came up, Birmingham yogis moved through sun salutations while I discussed the SOA mission and purpose behind Global Mala. Jeh Jeh was so excited he even participated in a few Sun Salutations and a HEADSTAND! It was one of those experiences that reminds me I'm on the right path. Sharing the joy of yoga, wellness and community. Thank you for being a part of this path! Check out the details and clips below and plan to join us for celebrations! MWAH!
