My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive wellness. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of mindful living, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
Integrative Health Coaching
I received my training as an Integrative Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
Food as Medicine Training
I completed this program created by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in September 2014. This universally acclaimed professional training program provides health professionals with the foundation they need to effectively integrate nutrition into clinical practice—and their own lives. Food As Medicine’s remarkable faculty includes the country’s leading lifestyle medicine clinicians and researchers as well as some of our most gifted holistic nutritionists, mind-body practitioners, patient advocates, and chefs.
Participants will leave grounded in the fundamentals of sound nutrition, knowledgeable about cutting-edge research, and prepared to confidently and compassionately guide their patients toward practical life-giving healthy nutrition.
RYT 200 Yoga Training
I graduated in 2009 as 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor through Birmingham Yoga's program led by Akasha Ellis, RYT 500 and Laura Tyree, RYT 500. I have had the opportunity to study with Doug Keller and Sean Tebor. I approache each yoga class with a fun attitude, looking to inspire, challenge and nurture my students.
